Cooking oil

Sunflower and cottonseed oil go into clear 0.5-1.5 litre bottles so buyers can see the colour and clarity of the product.

What matters when choosing a preform

Clarity

The colour of the oil sells it, so clear preforms are used. A blue bottle distorts the colour of the oil.

No gas

Oil creates no pressure, so mid-range weights work. What matters more is bottle stiffness in transport and stacked storage.

Light and oxidation

Oil oxidises in light and heat. Keep finished goods out of direct sun to protect the taste.

Southern cottonseed oil

Turkestan Region grows cotton and local mills bottle cottonseed oil. We are nearby and ship without long logistics.

Recommended preforms

Common questions

Can I use a blue preform for oil?

Technically yes, but oil looks worse in a blue bottle. Clear is the usual choice.

Which weight for 1 L oil?

We recommend 31.7 g PCO 1881; 32 g also works.

Can oil be filled hot?

Oil is usually filled without heating. If your process involves hot filling, discuss it with us before ordering.
